Treatment types
Headaches, Back Pain, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Shin
Splints, Shoulder Pain, Sciatica, Knee Problems, Depression, Stress and
Tennis Elbow are
just a few of the many conditions that can be resolved quickly and
permanently with our treatment plans. These conditions all have one
important thing in common: they are often a result of overused muscles
due to postural unbalance or not enough recover time when doing
physical activities.
Over-used muscles change in three important ways:
- Acute conditions like pulls, tears, collisions, etc ...
- Accumulation of Small Tears caused by Micro-trauma)
- Not getting enough oxygen
Each of these factors can cause your body to produce tough, dense scar tissue in the affected area. This scar tissue binds up and ties down tissues that need to move freely. As scar tissue builds up, muscles become shorter and weaker, tension on tendons causes tendonitis, and nerves can become trapped. This can cause reduced range of motion, loss of strength, and pain. If a nerve is trapped you may also feel tingling, numbness, and weakness.
Relaxation Therapy
The underlying philosophy of natural medicine is that
the body has an innate ability to heal itself. The mind has power to
heal the body if relaxing. When sick or injured, a person provided with
adequate rest, nutrition and nurturing does have the capacity to heal
themselves. Massage therapy is just one of the healing modality that
fits under the umbrella of natural or complementary and alternative
